The beautiful rivers, hills and valleys along with their corresponding cool continental climates of Germany and Austria are the envy of winemakers from all over the world. Rightly famous for the quality of Rieslings and Gruner Veltliner's that these countries produce, they are also rightly considered to produce great reds like Spatburgunder( Pinot Noir), Blaufrankisch, Zweigelt and a variety of other red and white grapes. These cool climates enable winemakers to produce wines in a myriad of styles in red and white, from the driest to some of the most fabulous sweet wines available anywhere.
