The Moreau estate can be traced back to 1809 and is now run by Bernards two sons, Benoit in the vineyard and Alex in the cellar. It is one of the celebrated producers in Burgundy and renowned for the purity and quality of their wines. They use between 10-50% new oak depending on the vintage and the vineyard. They farm organically.
The 2016 vintage was awful for the winemaker but great for the wine drinker. They lost between 50%-100% of some Lieu-dits but what survived was brilliant. This is an old traditional style with a firm structure .
