Wine for your wedding
Here at 64 Wine, we take great pride in being considered one of the leading providers of Wedding Wines in Ireland.
Arrange an appointment to outline some key details about your wedding such as:
- The number of guests
- The food you are serving
- Your budget
This can be done over the phone, however, we would advise an in-store appointment as it will enable you to view & taste the wines in person before making a final decision.
Our team has a wealth of experience in expertly matching wines to wedding menus and budgets.
This knowledge ensures you get the very best quality wine, at an affordable price, which perfectly compliments the guest’s meals.
How many bottles do I need?
It is generally advised to provide half a bottle of wine per person for the meal. It is always better to round up as opposed to running out halfway through.
Some crowds may well be ‘thirstier’ than others, bear in mind that those not drinking will also pass on their allocation.
Why choose 64 Wine?
Most house wines are expensive, of poor quality and venues often have a limited offering of traditional wines. Our selection, however, features wines from artisan producers the world over.
We have an extensive range of natural, organic and bio-dynamic wines which most venues do not ordinarily stock. Moreover, we have wines for every budget, so you never have to settle.
What are corkage fees?
Supplying your own wine will incur a corkage fee, which can vary wildly between venues. This is the fee venues charge for opening your wine.
Most hotels are willing to negotiate this price and it is advisable to get this in writing, safeguarding against a surprise bill afterward.
The fee is commonly employed by venues as to make house wines more attractive, however, oftentimes it is still better value to buy the wines yourself and absorb corkage charge.
Having your wine safely & swiftly delivered is another key benefit. Knowing that your order will be on time, as scheduled and without any spoilage is reassuring before the big day.
Sale or return?
For larger wedding wine orders, we operate on a sale or return basis. This service means you only end up paying for the wine which has been enjoyed by you and your guests.
In any case, once we know the number of guests in attendance, the team will be able to provide an estimate for the volume required.
What are some of the most popular wedding wines?
Here are five wines which have proved exceptionally popular with wedding crowds in the past:
Saladini Pilastri ‘Falerio’, Marche
Roberta Fugatti Pinot Grigio, Trentino
